“ The hotel is tucked away but once you’re there the signage is easy to get to Illume. Make a reservation. If you can get a spot outside on Fridays the three different resorts/theme parks do fireworks starting around 8:30/9pm. Some lounge seating outside is hard to eat at but very comfy. Food was amazing. Server was okay, asked her to course out three apps and two entrees and four came out at the same time and the last item 20 mins after that. Luckily it didn’t effect the food which was fantastic. Matcha cheesecake was a wouldn’t recommend but make sure to try: pork belly bao buns, gyoza, The Woodman, Good Night Mist, angry tiger, and gyu no kani. ”
“ I found the service to be excellent, ate at the bar and two to three servers continuously checked in with me. I don't eat sushi so I can't comment on that, but it looked good. I guess! My beef tenderloin yakisoba was fantastic. Cabernet was decent, no Malbec by the glass though. Outdoor tables were nice, and yes, as people have mentioned, you can see the fireworks from Epcot and Disney at 9:00 p.m.. ”
“ I’ve been here several times now, and each visit has been a consistently great experience. The food and drinks are excellent, but the real standout is the incredible view — it truly sets the atmosphere apart. If you’re looking for a cocktail to try, I highly recommend the Illumination — it never disappoints.” ”
“ This was my first multi-course dinner experience (and right by the chef’s counter)! Some notes I took: 13-Course Omakase Dinner: * Tsukuri - Great, like the curry and torched mussel flavor * Shiizakana - Favorite so far, salmon is perfect texture (using drying process) and pairs amazing with the yuzu sauce flavor * Chawanmushi - Very light and fluffy jidori egg (regular egg that is combined with fish broth from their dry fish), like the crab throughout the fish and the hint of scallion. * Otoro Nigiri - my fav, fatty part of bluefin tuna * They used pickled carrots as a palate cleanser * Yakimono (tuna substitute) - like the truffle sauce, would’ve preferred a cooked fish for this dish. Mushrooms was great it pulled apart like fish * Dom and Jay - Chefs at illume (Dom explained everything perfectly and Jay was very skilled at his craft, especially knife skills) ”
“ I had an unforgettable experience at this sushi restaurant. The sushi was absolutely incredible—fresh fish, perfectly balanced flavors, and beautiful presentation. Every bite was a delight! The terrace is another highlight, offering stunning views that make the dining experience even more special. A special shoutout to our waitress, Sara, who provided outstanding service. She was attentive, friendly, and gave excellent recommendations, making our evening even better. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!! ”
“ JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa has an amazing 9th floor “rooftop” lounge, Illume. The only negative is the noise levels. We struggled to have a conversation at our table as a large convention group was quite drunk and quite loud at the bar. They need sound absorbing ceiling tiles. Parking is validated. The Naha Mocktail is so deep with a mix of interesting flavors. Mango, pineapple, orange, jalapeno, and tajin! We got two of the signature Maki Rolls, The Wellness and Crispy Garden Roll. The dish not to miss is the Tofu Katsu Curry. Pro tips: Order it early It takes time to prepare Ask for extra curry and veggies to balance out the slab of crunchy tofu awesomeness ! Everything is incredible and our server Taylor was super helpful, on top of everything and so nice. **** parking at rhe resort is complimentary if you are dining at the restaurants Grab a validateon slip when you pay your bill JW Marriott Marriott Bonvoy #veganfood #Vegan #veganfortheanimals #orlandofoodie #orlandovegans #vegetarian #veganfood #Vegan #veganfortheanimals #orlandofoodie #orlandovegans #vegetarian #veganfood #Vegan #veganfortheanimals #orlandofoodie #orlandovegans #vegetarian #waltdisneyworld #waltdisneyworldresort ”
“ Our server Emily made our experience 5 stars. She made celebrating our friend's 21st birthday something special and unforgettable. The food was good but I personally wouldn't return for the food, solely for the service and ambiance. I felt some of the sushi rolls had phenomenal flavor but fell apart pretty easy, Highly recommend the view outside with the fireworks at 9pm, they were gorgeous. ”
“ Came here for the first time for a date night & it was great! The roof top view are beautiful and our table was perfect for viewing the Disney firework shows! Our server, May, was great and we loved all of her recommendations! We will be back to visit her for sure! ”
